A one-week drill
Day 1: F12 Save As until it is reflex. Day 2: Ctrl+F / Ctrl+H. Day 3: Ctrl+Alt+1 headings. Day 4: Alt+= AutoSum. Day 5: F5 / Shift+F5. Do not download a 400-shortcut PDF. Muscle memory is four keys deep.
Conflicts
GPU overlays, other office suites, and some laptop Fn keys steal shortcuts. If Ctrl+S does nothing, click the document canvas; you may be focused on a task pane. UWP vs EXE can differ. Language packs remap Alt sequences. Search in-app Help rather than assuming the product is broken.
Laptop Fn keys
F5 might be brightness. Hold Fn or toggle Fn Lock. Presentation presenters discover this on stage. Test tonight. Multimedia keyboards steal Ctrl+S in games overlays — close the overlay.
Ribbon KeyTips
Alt then letters, Word-style, works on many Windows builds. If it does not, you are on a SKU that never implemented them. Mouse the thing once, do not fight religion.
